Mr. Shittu is an Alumnus of the very prestigious Faculty of Law, University of Lagos. He graduated with Second Class Honors (Upper Division) LL.B in the year 1986 after which he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987. Mr. Shittu obtained Master of Laws (LLM) with Distinction in 1996 from the University of Lagos. He also holds Master in Public Administration and International Affairs (MPIA) with distinction which he obtained in 2010 from the University of Lagos.
He has been a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos since 2005 till date in the Department of Jurisprudence and International Law. Before joining Grand Attorneys, He had also worked at W.K. Shittu & Co. since January 1998 till his becoming a partner in Grand Attorneys. While working at W.K. Shittu & Co, he served as a consultant to so many multinational companies in Nigeria. He equally represented so many companies in commercial disputes and assisted them in resolving their legal challenges.
He was also retained as Private Counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) since inception of the Commission till date. He is also a member of the Presidential Advisory and National Prosecution team inaugurated by the then Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo SAN, GCON. He is equally a Consultant to the Prosecution Team of the Lagos State Government in the case of Lagos State vs Synagogue Church of all Nations since 20th May, 2016. He is also retained as a Private Prosecutor to the Federal Government of Nigeria since February, 2017 till date.
His practice areas include Criminal and Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Maritime, Dispute Resolution, Oil and Gas Law, Project Finance, Election Petition etc.
